The store and bathrooms are nice, however the Car Wash is the one I have a major problem with. I am a Disabled Veteran and was about to get a car wash when a man wearing glasses and having curly hair working there decided that I couldn't get a car wash because of this "hitch" when in fact it is for my wheelchair as it is a wheelchair lift. I told him that it was for the handicapped and he said that it is not. I mean how dumb do you have to be to NOT recognize a handicapped lift in the back of the vehicle?! As I left, I told him that they should make a sign that the Car Wash is not for the Handicapped Accessible and he replied saying that it is not that?! Poor Customer Service especially to a US Army Retired Veteran Who Served in Vietnam And Korea. To reject any Disabled Veteran driving with a wheelchair lift in the back of their vehicle is a MAJOR DISGRACE!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!
First time to ever visit a Buc-ees & probably our last. Not a good experience at all. First, we stopped by to eat. Thinking that, since there were so many food choices, there would be tables available. No one to help with anything. Finally discovered how to place our order, did so & then looked for drinks. Again, found out on our own we pay for everything in one place. After getting our food we found out there are NO PLACES to eat in the store. So we stood at the counter where you order your food & ate there. One guy told us, "people go outside to their cars to eat". So very helpful! Why should we buy food & then LEAVE the store just to eat & then come back in to shop. If we had left the store believe me we would not have returned. A few strategically placed tables & chairs would have been nice. Or a bar area with stools. Anything would have helped. We found out 1/2 way through our meal that we had to go check out to pay & shouldn't be eating before paying. Thanks for the help! So we took our half eaten food to the register to pay for it & then return to our counter to eat. The staff needs to be trained better so they can, and hopefully will, tell customers how this all works. We basically had no help at all with anything. Hope this will help to know what improvements would be nice.
The cashier serving the hot food was the best. Can't recall her name was Cathy because cashier name on the receipt rung up as "Cat U". She recommended the jalapeno cheddar sausage biscuit with gravy and the chopping block sandwich. She has great taste and very friendly! Great staff!
We had a blast at the ceremony today! My daughter loved the car wash. We also grabbed some brisket sandwiches and fudge.
For those who don't know. The bathrooms are larger than some gas stations. This place is hug. Over 100 pumps. Fresh food. Fresh coffee. Iced coffee. A coffee bar with different creamers, syrups, whipped cream and even sprinkles to add to your drink. Lots of cashiers.
Great service, easy access gas and great food even when everywhere else is closed what more could you ask for?
