She should think her career better and I hope never come back to that hospital again since it affected on how now I see all the professionals working there and the hospitality of Katy Memorial Hermann's facility.
As for quality of care, I would say that this hospital is one of the best in the state! I recently went to the hospital, and in my stay, the nursing staff and my whole "team" stayed with me every step of the way and really made me feel like I was worth something to them, not just another patient. I got a chance to sit down and talk with one of the nurses. She described her work situation as being a crazy, hectic living nightmare. For that, I definitely feel that a star should be deducted. I feel that especially here in the US, people shouldn't have to work to those kinds of extremes. But, beside that, I really enjoyed my stay here! Thanks!
"Best hospital I've been to" This is my second time back to this hospital because the ER here runs extremely fast. The first time was a check up for my pregnancy because I thought I was in labor, I was taken to the room with 10 mins. And this second time, I got to deliver in this hospital. From the beginning till the end of my treatment here, the nurses were all so friendly and understanding. When I needed something, I got it right away. And that's what you need and want before and after delivering since you're in a lot of pain. If I ever need to go the ER or delivers again, this is my pick of the hospital for sure!!!
I went to Katy Memorial Hermann after my baby had some deceals in a 8 hours Birth-Center-labor, full dialeted, first baby, planned natural birth, heathy mom and baby.
I took my son to the pediatrics office there and expecting everything to be okay. NOT THE CASE!!!!! I went there and the44y checked me in and then I asked them how much it would be. Mind you the last time I was there they told me that I would pay $120.00 on my next visit. Which would have been today. I went today, they checked my son in, and asked me what we were doing today. I needed my sons 6 mo. shots. Remember they told me I would pay 120.00 before. They told me that I would pay $600 for the shots and the visit. then when I start questioning. they go and get the manager. Then come back and tell that I would pay $700. I took son to get his shots somewhere else and PAID $80.00!!!!!!!!! Clearly I wont be going back!!!! They just over charge you SEVERLY!!!! Watch out, and keep your options open for cheaper places.
My midwife decided to take me there to give us some security in case we needed some urgent care. The staff was really not understandable with our desire to continue to pursue the vaginal birth and were even rude with my midwife, specially Dr Beltramini. Dr Beltramini practically imposed a c section on me, I asked for a couple of a minutes to try to push a bit more since the baby was not descending too well and she just allowed me to push for just 2 times and after that she said she didn't think he would come out. She clearly did not like my choice of having a midwife and got not comfortable with her presence in the room with me, she treated her with a huge indifference with no reason, she made the whole room feels dark and heavy with her no-cop behavior. My baby was a full term baby, 99 apgar, I had a healthy pregnancy, baby posterior position, got at full dilation in just 4 hours, exercised my whole pregnancy, health foods... anyway... there was never a truly emergency in being there otherwise I would not have waited for more than 2 hours since I got to the hospital for my baby's birth. Dr Beltramin got blind with some clearly ego problems which made me go through hell with a c section post-partum without measuring the consequences of her acts on her patient, she did not give me any other option, at least to try. What I was most upset about everything was to realize how her professional judgement was affected by her ego and personal opinion and how I could allow that happen to me and to my birth experience. I was near traumatized as I haven't been able to speak of my experience for a year and a half now.
My experience with Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital was excellent. I went into the ER due to having some Mini/TIA stroke like symptoms. The ER checkin was extremely caring and quick with attending to the reason why I was there. I had several different tests run on me in which each staff member or doctor was very comforting to me as I was very scared with what had happened to me. After thorough testing that was done in the ER it was determined and I in agreement to stay overnight for observation and more testing to rule out any type of stroke. My stay overnight was very pleasant and my husband stayed with me and the staff were all so accommodating to me the patient and my husband the guest. Each doctor or nurse that came in to check my vitals, give me medicine, or run testing on me explained everything they were doing, why, and the results. I would definitely recommend Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital to anyone having medical issues or needs. I give everyone an A+! If I ever need to go to the hospital again...I would definitely choose Memorial Hermann Katy!
